About the DELF/DALF exams
The DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official certifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education to assess the French language proficiency of non-native speakers.
Organized into six levels from A1 to C2, these internationally recognized diplomas correspond to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The DELF covers beginner to intermediate levels (A1-B2), while the DALF is intended for advanced learners (C1–C2).
Each exam evaluates four key skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking, with tasks tailored to real-life situations. These certifications are valid for life and can enhance academic, professional, and immigration opportunities in French-speaking contexts.
